OH MY GOODNESS!! Is all I can say to Babel the new Mumford and Sons album. It is so good I haven't listened to anything else since it came out(besides what we listen to in class). The day it came out I bought it and burned a cd of the Album to put in my car, so I do not listen to anything else really. I talk to all of my friends about it and have only found a few who are as hyped about it as I am. One of my friends who loves them pre-ordered it and at 12 o'clock she listened to it for 4 hours on a loop. But she has that time cause she is in college.... I would have done the same if I didn't have school the next day.
My favorite song is Babel the first song on the album. It is a great up beat song that starts the album off really well. The next song Whispers In the Dark and it is not a song that I like as much as the others but, the way they sing it and the emotion they put in it is makes it a good song.

(I dont know if this is gonna show up as the video or just the link to click on.) The guy who reviews the album shares how he feels about the album and points out to the viewer the emotion the band puts into their songs. At minute 5 he talks about his opinions and at minute 6 he tell about his website so avoid those unless you wanna know what he like about them. I don't think he talks about the songs I like enough.....but that's okay I will expand on the songs I think are important.
Now the third song is I Will Wait, it is a favorite of mine. It was a
single and released earlier than the others so I got to listen to the song a
lot before album came out and I liked it the first time I heard it. The next two
songs I am gonna skim over, they are Holland Road and Ghosts That We Knew two good songs but not my favorites on the album. The next one I really
like Lover of the Light, I didn't think I would like it cause its slow
in the beginning, but in the middle of the song it gets more up beat and you
can feel the emotion in the vocals. It is my second or third favorite
song.
The next two songs are Lovers' Eyes and Reminder. I like Reminders a lot but its slow and not the best one, but non the less a really good and really short song, only 2 minutes long. Hopeless Wanderer is a one that I want to expand on, I love how it starts off slow and then turns into a semi upbeat song. The way they use the piano to bring the song up to beat was great for me, I love it. A good side note is the instruments they use all the time, how not original they are like the banjo and even small instruments like the tambourine is glorious.
There Tenth song Broken Crown is so good. This is a song where they put so much passion into the song it is amazing. I love this song I can really get into it cause of how they sing it. It is my second favorite song. I am not sure how to express how I feel about this song I have almost no words. There are the next two that I am having a hard time getting into cause there both slow and there just not getting my attention, they are Below My Feet and Not With Haste .
The next song For Those Below, It is only on the deluxe edition of the album and it is so good cause it doesn't sound like them. It is not like any other song I have heard, neither on Sigh No More nor on Babel, it's so weird to me yet I still love it.
Finally the last two songs, I actually don't like them that much they are my last favorites. The Boxer is one song and my least favorite song. Where are You Now, is the other song and I think my opinion of it will change the more I listen to it, it's a little slow but catchy. That is all of the songs on the deluxe edition of Babel and I absolutely love it, the passion they sing in it is better then in Sigh No More. The band has improved a lot since the last album as musicians even though Sigh No More is an amazing album, but they just killed it to me on Babel. Mumford and Sons are very very talented musicians and I think this band will only get better and better!
